What is the Blended STCW Basic Training Course?

Seven Seas Preparatory Academy offers you the opportunity to complete your STCW Basic Training by completing the theory courses online in the comfort of your home and attending 2 days of practical training.

To complete the course, you will attend 2 days of practical training at one of our chosen site facilities. The practical courses take place every month and you have the option to attend at Cape Canaveral, Orlando, Clearwater, Tampa or Fort Lauderdale.

STCW Courses Covered

Personal Survival Techniques (PST)
Basic Fire Fighting (FPFF)
First Aid (EFA)
Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (PSSR)
Option to combine with the STCW PDSD Course (Security Designated Duties)

The online course can be taken in the student’s own time provided all courses are completed prior to attending the practical course.

This type of training significantly reduces cost and time compared to the traditional classroom. You can save 3 - 4 nights’ accommodation, not to mention transportation and food costs potentially saving you $300 - $400.

To book your course simply chose a date and location for the 2-day practical training allowing sufficient time to complete your online course. Upon confirmation instructions will be sent on how to use our learning management system.
